What is Image to Text?
Image to Text reads the words in a photo, screenshot or scanned page and gives them back as editable text. It runs in your browser, so the image never leaves your device.
The tool uses optical character recognition (OCR) to read printed text in English, Hindi and several other Indian languages. It works best on clear, well-lit images with straight lines of text. The first run downloads the language data, which can take a few seconds.
